Run the Rock Marathon, Half & 8k, August 27, Gillies Bay, Texada Isl.
The seventh annual Run the Rock was held under sunny skies with a light breeze. It was fairly warm to begin with, but after 10:30 it got really hot for the 8k-ers and final finishers in the longer distances. Larry and Teresa treated the half as a training run but managed to place 2nd and 4th overall, winning the masters categories. PaceSetter Club members Mathew Wilson and Roberta Sim did the half and 8k, respectively, their first time at Run the Rock, and both placed top 3 in their divisions. Full results can be found here.
