Get ready to explore the Lower Sunshine Coast and its amazing network of trails with a new 6-race trail series starting from Pender Harbour and making its way to Gibsons with a variety of trails and courses. A traditional part of the May Day community festival, a short jaunt around the lagoon at Madeira Park. Starts at 8:00am. Entry is FREE. Starts on the main street in front of the real estate office (right side when entering Madeira). Parade at 11am so go for breakfast after the run then hang around to watch!
Race #6 in the LifeStages Lower Mainland Road Race Series (LMRRS). Very well organized event with a great turn-out every year. Scenic but challenging hilly course in tree-lined Shaughnessy (Kerrisdale). There's also a 5k Poker Walk. www.lgrr.com/shaughnessy/

Part of the LMRRS and the Canada Running Series. Scenic net downhill course from UBC to Stanley Park. Have to go the night before as the half starts at 7:30am. There is also a 5k at 9:30 in Stanley Park. You can book individual or double rooms for $35/person at the Pacific Spirit Hostel at UBC.
